Pink Winner

The "Dolls in the Attic" Retreat is now over, but what an amazing creative experience it was - five days and five nights with the five most renowned and talented divas of cloth doll making - elinor peace bailey,  Patti Culea, Barbara Willis, Betts Vidal and Sally Lampi.  The retreat was the 20th birthday celebration of "Hello Dollies" the group I belong to... and the main night of celebrating was the Pink Banquet.  Everyone dressed in pink, and five Hello Dollies members, including me,who were hosts for the night created a "table" doll which was won by someone sitting at our tables. Janice Laurent from Canberra won my doll ( pictured above)

Remaking a doll

after
On my "to do " list for a long time was the remake of a doll  I was never happy with...  I couldn't bear to discard all the hours of work I did on the body, so here is the transformation...
1. a new head
before
 2. Costume changes and a new stand ....

I am now much happier with this doll  - what a difference a few changes have made!

It's not winning or losing. It's the friends and the people that you meet along the way.
And now to to the blog giveaway from last week... Judi is the winner of the plaited scarf and red hat earrings! As there were only two entrants, I will also be sending Lee a handmade gift..
Thanks to both of you for entering the giveaway. I hope you will be happy with your gifts.
